Max Cherson

Max Cherson, 87, of Anaheim, Calif., formerly of Duluth, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 1996, in Anaheim. He was born in Russia, moved to Duluth, and attended Central High School. He married Ann Gallop in 1932, and had worked for Gershgols, Ideal Grocery, and had been a sales representative for Jeno's. He moved to Anaheim in 1962.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; a daughter, Lorrayne Glazman of Duluth; two sons, Jerry Cherson of Columbus, Ohio, and Hersh Cherson of Anaheim; three grandsons, Charles and Neil Glazman of Duluth, and David Cherson of Anaheim; three granddaughters, Randi Simon of East Lansing, Mich., and Lori Griffin and Shari Cherson, both of Anaheim; three great-grandchildren, Les Glazman of Duluth, Lindsay and Jordan Simon, both of East Lansing.

Graveside services: 3 p.m. today in Tifereth Israel Cemetery (Howard Gnesen Road). Arrangements are by Bell Brothers-Jarvi-Dowd Chapel.
